Delhi Police Head Constable AWO/TPO, Constable Qualification

• Constable: 12th (Senior Secondary) passed or equivalent from a recognized Board (as on 29.07.2022 i.e. the closing date of receipt of online application).
• Should be able to drive heavy vehicles with confidence.
• Valid driving license for Heavy Motor Vehicles (as on closing date of receipt of online application).
• Possess knowledge of maintenance of vehicles.
• Candidates who have not acquired the essential educational qualification as on the stipulated date will not be eligible and need not apply.
• Learners License will not be accepted.
• Head Constable: Candidates should have Passed 12th (Senior Secondary) from a recognized Board with Science & Mathematics as subjects or equivalent from a recognized Board/ University/Institution OR National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the trade of Mechanic-cum-Operator Electronic Communication System.
• Professional Attainments: Proficiency in Computer Operation Qualifying in Nature.
• Test of English word processing speed-1000 key depressions in 15 minutes.
• Test of Basic Computer Functions:- Opening/Closing of PC, printing, MS office usage, saving & modification in typed text, paragraph setting & numbering, etc.

Age Limit

• Constable Age Limit: 21-30 years as of 01-07-2022. The candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-07-1992 and not later than 01-07-2001.
• Head Constable Age Limit: 18 to 27 years as of 01.07.2022 (i.e. candidates born not before 02-07-1995 and not later than 01-07-2004 are eligible to apply).
• Upto a maximum of 5 years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe category.
• Upto a maximum of 3 years if a candidate belongs to an OBC category. This relaxation is admissible for those castes notified in the Central List and the List issued by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
• The upper age limit is admissible upto 35 years for the General category (38 years for OBC, 40 years for SCs/STs) for widows/divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not re-married.
• Upto a maximum of 5 years for sportsmen/sportswomen of distinction who have represented a State at the National level or the Country at the International level in sports during the preceding three years from the date of advertisement of vacancies. The discipline of sports for which relaxation is available is mentioned in Annexure ‘A’. The Sports Certificate shall be issued in the proforma attached at Annexure-‘B’ & ‘C’ having a photograph of the candidate duly attested by the Secretary of the State/National Sports Federation. If a candidate belongs to SC/ST category and fulfills the above criteria, he/she is eligible for 5 years of relaxation in the upper age limit over and above the relaxation prescribed at Clause 5.1. In effect, he/she qualifies for relaxation in the upper age limit upto a maximum of 10 years.
